Physical Education
Physical Education plays a critical role in educating the whole student. Physical education is based upon rigorous state and national standards that define what students should know and be able to do as a result of participation. PE classes will include moderate to vigorous physical activities including games, sports, and skills. It is unique to the school curriculum as it is the only program that provides students with opportunities to learn motor skills, develop fitness, and gain understanding about the importance of physical education. Physical education incorporates concepts of math, reading/English language arts, and science into the physical education realm. Each class has 50 minutes for PE 2 or 3 times per week. All grades will perform the Fitness Gram which is a state mandated test in PE.
